Chris misses out on Final
Chris
Hide, dubbed 'the Pop Idol vicar', become the latest contestant
to be eliminated after a tense Christmas themed show.
All four contestants put in strong performances and it was brummie
Mark, who the judges thought would get the chop in the public
vote. Simon Cowell even went as far as to say that Chris' performance
of 'Winter Wonderland' was the highlight of the series so far.
However, a tight vote with just a 1% seperating the bottom two
places, proved the judges wrong as a visibly shocked Chris ended
up in last place.
Next week, the penultimate show in the series will have the remaining
three pop wannabes performing songs chosen by the judges.

Susanne leaves Pop Idol
Susanne Manning finished last in Saturday's public vote, missing
out on a place in Pop Idol's final four.
Susanne had endured a week of bad press after speculation about
her behavior towards fellow pop wannabe Michelle, appeared in
the tabloid papers.
Susanne put all of that behind her to perform her version of
Erma Franklin's 'Take A Little Piece Of My Heart'. However, her
rendition of the big band classic failed to measure up and outstanding
performances from rival contestants Sam, Michelle, Mark and Chris
meant that Susanne was always going to struggle in the public
vote.
Each of the other four contestants were unanimously praised by
the judges for their big band performances, but Susanne was told
by Simon Cowell that she would "have a problem" in the
voting.
When the results came in Chris, Sam and Michelle were safe, leaving
Mark and Susanne to sweat it out for the final place, which finally
went to Brummie Mark.
Next week's Pop Idol will have all the contestants singing classic
Christmas songs.

Roxanne's silver lining
Pop
Idol loser Roxanne Cooper is all set to to land a £1million
record deal just days after being voted off the show.
Roxanne, who has recently celebrated her 17th birthday, will
be snapped up by the show's creator and former manager of the
Spice Girls, Simon Fuller.
Simon Fuller, who has also managed S Club and Gareth Gates, arranged
to meet Roxanne weeks ago in order to sign her up and even sent
her a Tiffany bracelet for her birthday.
Roxanne was voted off on Saturday after her rendition of the
Beatles Let it Be failed to impress the public. Her exit was a
shock, especially for the judges who had tipped Brummie Mark Rhodes
to go.
